Each and every ticket sold for Best in Drag Show goes to help Alliance for Housing & Healing (AHH), the housing arm of APLA Health.
This outrageous and over-the-top drag pageant parody is produced by a dedicated team of extraordinarily talented volunteers who give their time year after year to support our mission of providing essential housing and supportive services to people living with HIV or other challenging health conditions.
Some of the services AHH provides are:
- Group Homes with 24/7 care for those who are too ill with HIV/AIDS to live on their own and have no other resources
- Permanent, subsidized apartments that are safe places for individuals and families with HIV/AIDS and a second diagnosis
- Emergency financial assistance to pay rent and utility bills for those with HIV/AIDS who are facing eviction and homelessness
Housing security plays an important part in determining positive health outcomes for people living with HIV/AIDS. In 2022, 99% of our new permanent supportive housing clients were housed for one year or more, and 97% received medical assistance a minimum of two times per year. Close to 86% of our clients last year evidenced undetectable viral loads.
Thanks to people like you, Best in Drag Show has raised millions of dollars over the past 33 years that directly impact vulnerable populations in the community.
