The Downtown Los Angeles DTLA PROUD Festival is making a new home for the LGBTQIA+ community at Grand Park this year. The event will take place, Saturday and Sunday, August 27-28, 2022, after a historic 5 years at neighboring park, Pershing Square.
The weekend festivities will transform the entire space at Grand Park and will span from the Music Center on Grand Ave to Los Angeles City Hall on Spring St. This Queer epicenter will represent, include and celebrate all those that make up the LGBTQIA+ community in Downtown!
For the first time, the DTLA PROUD Festival will be free for all ages to attend. Blocks 1 through 3 of Grand Park will feature curated programming; with special intention and effort on segments of the community that often go underrepresented. We are introducing a new shared space for parents and queer families and will also feature programming for all people of color, trans, non-binary and femme communities. The weekend programming will be segmented throughout the park and attendees are encouraged to explore!

Pride is Protest! (Make our voices heard!) Our messaging, and mantra, this year is “We are HERE, we are QUEER, and we aren’t Going Anywhere!” because, in today’s world, we are constantly reminded that the fight is not over.
Our mission remains the same: to create safe spaces and experiences to celebrate queer love and representation. With your help and participation, we are excited to announce that the proceeds raised by this festival have enabled us to evolve from a festival to a physical Community Center!
We are so excited to announce DTLA PROUD’s COMMUNITY CENTER space – A.R.T. (Accessibility, Representation, Thrive) will be opening in late Fall 2022. This new space will all allow us to be active 365 days a year and to be a resource and outlet for the LGBTQIA DTLA Community. We will be announcing on Saturday, August 27 at the PROUD Community Stage.
