White nationalists and supremacists are riling up thousands of social media followers with snarky memes and trendy videos on divisive issues including abortion, guns, immigration and LGBTQ rights, reports The Columbian.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has warned that such skewed framing of the subjects could drive extremists to violently attack public places across the U.S. in the coming months.
DHS and the FBI are working with state and local agencies to raise awareness about the increased threat around the U.S. in the coming months.
