An estimated 40,000 enthusiastic participants attended Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco at the end of last month to celebrate all things leather, kink and fetish. Proof of vaccination was required.
This year the event was rebranded as Megahood2021—the name of the first Folsom Street Fair.
“We planned Megahood2021 to bring the Folsom Street Fair back to its roots, and to honor where we started in 1984,” stated Angel Adeyoha, Folsom’s Executive director. “We have always known that who and how we fuck, play and seek pleasure is political. There are so many people fighting against sexual liberation and our presence, together, is a stand against those controlling and regressive forces. we demand sexual liberation as part of the overall liberation movement.”
