The notion that shows like Magic Mike Live and Australia’s Thunder From Down Under cater exclusively to a female audience is a misconception.

While the performances certainly celebrate the male form, they also resonate strongly with a diverse queer audience, both among spectators and the performers themselves. This vibrant inclusivity was beautifully showcased at a recent Magic Mike Live show in Las Vegas, reports Queerty.

In a truly heartwarming moment, dancers Davis Taylor Rahal and Shay H. became engaged on stage, sharing their love story with the captivated crowd. Following a sensual slow dance to John Legend‘s “Stay with You,” Davis took the microphone to recount their serendipitous meeting.

He described spotting Shay, a fellow dancer from Thunder From Down Under, in the audience and attempting to engage him in a dance. Though Shay initially declined, a connection was sparked, leading to a direct message exchange and a blossoming relationship.

“This year has been filled with joy, laughter, love, and adventure,” Davis declared, before asking the pivotal question, “Will you marry me?” Shay’s enthusiastic nod was met with a wave of ecstatic cheers as the couple embraced and shared a celebratory kiss, exiting the stage amidst the resounding applause.
