Pedro Pascal Champions Trans Rights with Powerful Social Media Messages

Actor Pedro Pascal continues to be a vocal advocate for the transgender community, using his platform to combat transphobia and celebrate trans lives.

Last month, he shared an image of a sticker proclaiming, “A world without trans people has never existed and never will,” on Instagram.

In a direct and impassioned comment, Pascal added, “I can’t think of anything more vile and small and pathetic than terrorizing the smallest, most vulnerable community of people who want nothing from you, except the right to exist.”

The post resonated deeply, amassing hundreds of thousands of interactions. Trans actors Mason Alexander Park and Jamie Clayton expressed their gratitude with comments like “Thank you for this” and heart emojis.

This follows another recent instance where Pascal honored the late trans activist Cecilia Gentili by sharing a video clip of her. He captioned the post with Gentili’s powerful words, “Know who you are. Progress is inevitable,” further demonstrating his unwavering support.

Pascal’s commitment to LGBTQ+ rights is consistent and visible. He routinely displays his pronouns on his social media, celebrates Pride Month, and prominently champions his transgender sister, Lux.

His support for Lux is particularly heartfelt. When she came out in 2021, Pascal shared her magazine cover on Instagram, writing, “Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux,” meaning “My sister, my heart, our Lux.”

Lux credits her brother as a crucial “guide” in her journey, telling a Chilean magazine that he “was one of the first people to gift me the tools that started shaping my identity.” When she came out to him via FaceTime, Pascal’s immediate concern was for her well-being, asking “how I felt.” His subsequent response, “perfect, this is incredible,” solidified his unwavering love and acceptance.
