In the midst of uncertainty and fear, the time has come for all of us to stand up for ourselves and one another

We are facing extraordinarily challenging times. We are at a point in history where people in power are trying to erase and take away the rights of People of Color, LGBTQIA2+, especially our trans brothers and sisters, immigrants and anyone who does not fit the mold of what society deems as a true American.

In the midst of uncertainty and fear, the time has come for all of us to stand up for ourselves and one another. That is why the Los Angeles Leather Coalition (LALC) is proud to present “Unite!”, a powerful and meaningful celebration taking place from Sunday, March 23 to Sunday, March 30, 2025. This year’s Los Angeles Leather Pride is a call to action for our community to come together in solidarity, pride, and resilience during these challenging times.

Now more than ever, the message of unity resonates deeply. “Unite!” will spotlight the diverse aspects of our leather community, emphasizing inclusivity and connection while honoring the traditions and history that makes it so unique.

This week is not just a time to gather, but it’s a time for activism. It’s a time to strengthen the bonds within our community, celebrate its rich heritage, and chart a course for a stronger, more united future.

It’s important to remember that activism takes many forms.  Activism is not only protesting and marching in the streets. It’s showing up to events, supporting your local bars and venues and keeping them open, volunteering and becoming members of different organizations and keeping them alive. It’s entering and supporting contests, whether they be a Mr., Ms., Mx. or  combinations thereof and open to all. It’s wearing your colors in public. It’s standing proudly in your identity. Most importantly it’s about being visible!

Activism is having courage in the face of adversity and courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is having the fear but doing it anyway.

“Unite!” promises to be an unforgettable week celebrating the strength and spirit of the leather community that will offer something for everyone whether you’re a longtime member of the leather/kink family or a newcomer.

For the full schedule and event details, official visit our website at losangelesleatherpride.com and social media channels.

We invite everyone to take part in this meaningful week, whether to celebrate, learn, or simply connect with others who share the love of leather.

Let’s come together to honor our past, embrace our present, build an inclusive future for the leather community and remind the world that we are visible, that we are here and are not going anywhere!
