The immensely popular Heartstopper will culminate in a feature film starring the cherished duo, Kit Connor and Joe Locke (who will also executive produce).
Written by the visionary behind Heartstopper, Alice Oseman, the movie will pick up after the heartwarming Season 3 finale.
Oseman shared her joy in delivering the “end of the Heartstopper story” to the dedicated fans.
“I am completely overjoyed that we will get to tell the end of the Heartstopper story,” Oseman says. “I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion. I cannot wait to bring this story to a magical conclusion.”
The film will navigate the complexities of first love as Nick and Charlie confront the prospect of a long-distance relationship, alongside their friends’ own experiences with growing up.
Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice) is set to direct the film, which begins shooting this summer.
