Baz Sells’ striking new short film, “Two Black Boys in Paradise,” premieres this week at BFI Flare, London’s leading LGBTQ+ film festival, as part of the “To Your Souls” collection.
Adapted from a poignant poem by acclaimed queer writer Dean Atta, this 9-minute stop-motion animation powerfully portrays the burgeoning love and self-discovery of two young Black men.
With early development support from Sir Ian McKellen, and a narration by Jordan Stephens, the film is a testament to collaborative artistry and impactful storytelling.
