The Black Cat and Babygay present an International Trans Day of Visibility event on Monday, March 31, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
This event celebrates transgender and gender-expansive achievements and addresses key community issues. Highlights include:
- Zach Oren’s photo series, “Ides of Gender,” documenting the trans community’s evolution since 2017.
- A live performance by the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles.
- A panel discussion moderated by Sydney Rogers (Miss Barbie-Q) with panelists Paolo Batista, Carla Ibarra, and Abdullah Hall, introduced by Babygay founder PJ Bresica.
The Black Cat, a Los Angeles Historical Landmark and site of the nation’s first documented LGBTQ+ civil rights demonstration, will host the event. General admission is free. Bar proceeds and 20% of “Ides of Gender” photo sales will benefit Fundación Latino Americana de Acción Social, Inc. (FLAS).
