Former Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg has joined Joe Biden’s White House transition team, which would oversee the transfer of power if the party wins in November, reports the New York Post.
Buttigieg is joining the team’s advisory board, Biden’s campaign announced Saturday.
The ex-mayor of South Bend, Ind. — who was among those who battled Biden for the Democratic nomination before bowing out — will be working with several former administration officials. They include Susan Rice, who served as national security adviser to then-President Obama — and was considered by Biden as a potential running mate before the presidential candidate chose US Sen. Kamala Harris of California.
